Sun Princess

The Sun Princess cruise ship visited Brunei on Monday 24th September and we were very fortunate to be able to board for the day because Peter Samm's (a friend from the Papanui Club) nephew is the computer navigator on this ship.  After my initial scepticism that a cruise ship would actually dock in Brunei (not being a well known country) we found that they usually visit Singapore but to our definite advantage for some reason this cruise was different.

It was the celebration of Teachers Day in Brunei.  To this end Aaron was invited to listen to a speech by the Sultan on the importance of teachers in Brunei.  After a thoroughly enjoyable two hours of listening to Malay, he was also able to accompany us on board  (Jordan and Liam had the entire day off school.)

As you can see from the photos below the boys soon relaxed into the Cruise ship lifestyle.  It is a magnificent ship with everything on board, several bars, a casino, a theatre, numerous eating places and much more. We had a tour of the entire ship then we enjoyed a beautiful buffet lunch, relaxed by the swimming pool and concluded our day with a coffee in the Atrium before unfortunately departing the ship.  It has now made us want to do a cruise more than ever!!!
