What a culture shock. I was warned how frustrating this place can be but did not realise how much. Everything is done in 1 pace and I can tell you it is slower than a snail and not very efficient. Apart from that we slowly got use to this. The pitfalls in the first 3 months:
Buying a car- expensive and people really try to rip you off including expats (once agreed on a price they still try to get a better price of other people.
Housing- we saw some real crap, but luckily Amanda found our 7bedroom house (she loves to clean it).
Good things:
Amanda has a pretty relaxed lifestyle (lucky her), not working and going to the pool and gym each morning
Work- finishing at 12.30 so I have more time with the family.
Our trip to Bandar along the river. Went for a river cruise.
Yayasan Complex looking at Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
Liam has joined the soccer team and doing really well, we have now just joined him into the touch which has just started (May). Jordan is doing his techie club and has just joined video editing
Jordan on the river cruise, passing the water village
Amanda, Jordan, Liam and the Carters before we head off on the cruise
Looks like fun searching for crocs and monkeys!
Hi Ho it's of to play we go
